Triple P es uno de los pocos programas sobre la parentalidad o la crianza de los hijos en el mundo, que se basa en evidencia e investigaciones empíricas que respaldan su eficacia. Son más de 35 años de investigación internacional extensa que respaldan los respaldan al programa de Triple P, y este cuerpo de evidencia científica sólo sigue creciendo.
Actualmente, hay más de 280 artículos de evaluación, incluyendo 146 pruebas controladas aleatorias que demuestran que Triple P es eficaz con la mayoría de las familias provenientes de diversas culturas, de distintos grupos socioeconómicos y con diferentes estructuras familiares.
